Inspection and Installation Assistance
Nationally-certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians are available by appointment Monday–Friday to assist the citizens of St. Johns County with the inspection and installation of child safety seats. Call (904) 209-2250 x4636 to make an appointment with a certified technician. Inspection and installation assistance is available by appointment at all St. Johns County Tax Collector locations.

Discounted Car Seats
Discounted car seats are also available to qualifying St. Johns County residents who are the parent or legal guardian of the child. Project Buckle Up offers two types of child safety seats: rear-facing/forward-facing convertible seat and a forward-facing/belt-positioning booster.

Qualifications for a Discounted Child Safety Seat:

• Parent or legal guardian of the child
• Resident of St. Johns County

AND receive assistance from one of the following programs:

• WIC (Women, Infants, and Children)
• Food Stamps
• Medicaid
• Florida KidCare
• Head Start
• Letter certifying need provided by a St. Johns County social service agency or organization on organization letterhead.
