Nationally-certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians are available by appointment Monday throughFriday to assist the citizens of St. Johns County with the inspection and installation of child safety seats. Call (904) 209-2250 x4636 to make an appointment with a certified technician. Inspection and installation assistance is available by appointment at all St. Johns County Tax Collector locations.

Discounted Car Seats
Discounted car seats are also available to qualifying St. Johns County parents or legal guardians who can demonstrate financial need according to program guidelines. Project Buckle Up offers two types of child safety seats: rear-facing/forward-facing convertible seat and a forward-facing/belt-positioning booster.

Qualifications for a Discounted Child Safety Seat:

• Parent or legal guardian of the child
• Resident of St. Johns County

AND the parent qualifies for and receives assistance from one of the following programs:

• Food Stamps
• Medicaid
